The Application

THE APPLICATION
F.A.Q. | Taken Characters | The Rules | Reserves | AU Workshop

Player Name: What do you want people to call you?
Contact: Best form of contact!
Timezone: Self explanatory~

Character name: What the package says. Feel free to add their hero name if they’re an adult!
Age: Take your pick! This doesn’t have to be canon. Not even MHA canon.
Birthday: Don’t have one? Make one up.

Family: If you’ve worked out any sort of special family bonds with another player, put them here. Otherwise just list generic mother, father, siblings, etc. Remember, no named character can be listed without the explicit permission of the player responsible for that character. If the character is not taken, you cannot list them as family regardless. You may vaguely refer to a character but not name them, such as suggesting that Shoto Todoroki has a controlling father who is a flame-base pro-hero, but you cannot name Endeavor/Enji Todoroki as his father.

Occupation: Are they a pro hero? Student? Teacher? Vigilante? Barista? List it here. If the character is a student list your preferred class for them.

Quirk: If this is a canon character then your work is done for you. If not, think up a name for the quirk and then give us a short explanation on how it works and the drawbacks.

History: Once again, if you’re keeping canon then your work is finished. Just link the Wiki. If your character has no in-depth history even in canon then please feel free to get creative, just make sure it makes sense. If you are bringing in an outside/original character or want to change up an existing character then you need to give us a brief but complete history of what transpired that brought them to this point in their life. Remember, characters cannot be named without player consent, so for example Deku could still have been given One for All, but it cannot be stated that he received it from All Might.

Timezone: EST

Character Name: Shota Aizawa
Age: 30
Birthday: November 8th
Family: Unnamed Father, Unnamed Mother, Izuku Midoriya (Adopted Son)
Occupation: Pro Hero, Teacher

Quirk:
Erasure
Shota has the ability to nullify anyone's quirk by looking at them. While powerful, it does have several drawbacks including:

-Deactivation if Shota blinks or if the person moves out of his line of sight.
-Gives him horrible dry eye and causes him to blink more often the longer he uses it.
-Mutation class quirks are immune to it.

Full Breakdown

History:
An alumni of U.A. High School, Shota had only been out of school for two years when a horrific incident involving a villain wiping out a city block changed the entire course of his life.

Not yet a pro by any means, Shota--also known as Eraserhead--had been called onto the scene with many others to perform search and rescue duties and on the third and last day of the operation he found a young boy underneath some rumble. Eraser stayed with the boy, though he didn't have much of a choice given how tightly the child clung to him, and after several days and a lot of surprising fretting later, he found out that the child had no one.

And he became Izuku Midoriya's guardian.

Putting his life as a hero mostly on back-burner, Aizawa found a place at U.A. High School once Izuku was settled and attending school himself so he could be on a similar schedule to his new charge. It wasn't easy for either of them but they slowly adjusted and their bond grew as the years passed. (Shota still worked here and there as a hero, eventually gaining official pro status so he could keep his license active.)

Eventually Izuku was old enough to apply to U.A. despite not having a quirk of his own and Aizawa did everything he could to help his "son" prepare, knowing that it was going to be a gamble but if anyone could do it it was Izuku. Lo and behold, the young man did it and ended up in Class 1-A; the class that Shota himself taught.
